Overlooking the sprawling campus of Luminy, one can almost hear the echoes of over a thousand years of history. Luminy sits at the heart of the Calanques massif, south of Marseille. The area boasts an ancient bastide and a vibrant campus belonging to Aix-Marseille University (AMU). Luminy is a starting point for breathtaking hikes. Visitors can trek to the Belvedere de Sugiton, the Calanque de Sugiton, and even scale Mont Puget. The campus itself covers over 94 hectares. It houses over 100,000 square meters of built area. Over 19,000 students and 1,400 staff call this unique place home. Luminy is a hub for scientific exploration.
