A small group of faithful founded Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in the late 1940s. The church was originally located on a Dallas street called Lovers Lane. While the church has since moved several blocks away, the name Lovers Lane remains a part of its history and culture. The Lovers Lane United Methodist Church sanctuary is an architectural gem, with soaring glass walls and a 36-foot ceiling. It is the largest free-standing stained glass structure in North America. While the architecture is inspiring, it also presented acoustical challenges. The extensive stained glass and hard surfaces created a reverberant chamber, making it difficult to hear. The church needed a sound system that was both visually unobtrusive and provided improved intelligibility and output. Lovers Lane United Methodist Church decided to install Fulcrum Acoustic’s AH Series horn-loaded loudspeaker systems. The new system has dramatically improved the sound quality in the sanctuary. Parishioners can now hear the service clearly, no matter where they are sitting. The new sound system is just one example of how Lovers Lane United Methodist Church is committed to providing its congregation with a welcoming and inspiring worship experience.
