Bromley College, established in 1959, underwent a significant transformation in 2008. A £26 million refurbishment breathed new life into the campus, replacing aging structures with a modern, eco-conscious four-story building. This new addition, aptly named “The Ozone” by a student, houses a state-of-the-art study and IT center, a tranquil library, and a vibrant student common room. The Orpington campus boasts a unique feature: a tower block, erected in 1972, that claims the title of Orpington’s tallest structure. During construction in 2008, a poignant discovery was made – a World War II air-raid shelter, a silent witness to the town’s resilience during wartime. Greenwich Community College, another integral part of London South East Colleges, traces its roots back to 1921 as the Woolwich College of Further Education. The Bexley campus, situated in Erith, occupies a building dating back to 1907, originally serving as the Erith Technical Institute.
