Founded in 2005 by actor Jake Taylor and casting director Urvashi Chand, the London School of Dramatic Art offers specialized training for a professional acting career. Jake Taylor, a Drama Centre London graduate, serves as the Principal. Urvashi Chand is the co-director and casting director.

What sets the London School of Dramatic Art apart? Its commitment to working professionals as tutors. Previous and current staff include Helen Dallimore and Alicya Eyo. David Carlyle and Samantha Robinson are also among the staff.

The London School of Dramatic Art runs intensive courses. These courses cover the work of key practitioners like Konstantin Stanislavski, Sanford Meisner, and Uta Hagen. They also focus on industry skills. These help prepare students for a working life as a professional actor.

Full-time courses include a One Year Advanced Acting Diploma and a One Year Foundation Acting Diploma. Part-time options feature a Two Year Diploma in Acting and ACT101 Sunday Classes. The London School of Dramatic Art also offers summer short courses. These include Introduction to Drama School, Screen Acting Techniques, and Audition Techniques.

Alumni of the London School of Dramatic Art include Alice Pagani and Éléonore Sarrazin. Jake Graf and Dávid Miller also went to the school.

The London School of Dramatic Art is part of the David Game College Group. This group includes David Game College, London Film Academy, David Game School of Photography, and Delamar Academy.

The London School of Dramatic Art’s main location is at 4 Bute Street, South Kensington. Classes and performances are held in The Bhavan and Drayton Arms Theatre.

Applying to drama school can be expensive. The London School of Dramatic Art understands this. Principal Jake Taylor ensures no application or audition fees are charged. He experienced this hardship himself. He could only afford one application fee. The London School of Dramatic Art champions a free application process.

Applications are open for the 2025-26 academic year. Courses include the 1 Year Advanced Diploma in Acting and the 1 Year Foundation Diploma in Acting. The 2 Year Diploma in Acting is also available.
