Step into a world of vibrant creativity and belonging, right here on Hopton Street. The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is much more than just a building: It is a beacon of hope and a haven for the LGBTQ+ community in London. This Centre was born out of a need to create more spaces for LGBTQ+ people to gather, connect, and simply be themselves, especially after the isolating lockdown.
In December 2021, this Centre first opened its doors as a pop-up space, and quickly became a vibrant hub for the community. Initially conceived in 2017, its mission was to provide an intergenerational and sober space where everyone felt welcome. From workshops and talks to social gatherings and a cozy cafe, the Centre offers a diverse range of activities.
The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is proudly a permanent space, offering a sense of stability and belonging. The Centre’s welcoming atmosphere is reflected in its ‘pay-what-you-can’ cafe, where people can enjoy a hot drink and a friendly chat, regardless of their financial situation. It is a truly unique and inclusive space, fueled by the passion and commitment of the LGBTQ+ community in London.
