What a view! The London Bridge Lookout truly lives up to its name. From here you can witness the dramatic remains of what was once a natural archway. This isn’t the famous London Bridge of England though. This natural wonder is found right here in Port Campbell National Park. The original London Bridge was a natural archway and tunnel. Sadly, it partially collapsed in 1990. The collapse separated the arch from the mainland. Two tourists were stranded on the remaining island and had to be rescued by helicopter. Today you can still see the isolated arch standing strong. This dramatic change is a powerful reminder of the forces of nature at work. At the London Bridge Lookout you can also observe Little Penguins coming ashore in the evenings. During winter, keep an eye out for Southern Right Whales and Humpback Whales. They migrate north and offer an incredible spectacle. London Bridge Lookout is a testament to the ever-changing beauty of our planet.
