What mysteries lie behind these doors? Right here, at 2 Undercliff Road in Lewisham, stands Loampit Gospel Hall. This unassuming building holds a history richer than meets the eye. Loampit Gospel Hall wasn’t always at this address. The congregation’s story began just down the street at number 33. In 1903, their meeting place was officially registered as a place of worship. However, their stay was short-lived. By 1926, a new chapter unfolded as they relocated to their current home. Interestingly, this building itself has a unique past. Erected in 1901, it originally served as the Presbyterian Church of Wales. But fate had other plans, and in 1924, they moved on, leaving the space open for the Loampit Gospel Hall community to blossom. For decades, the Loampit Gospel Hall has been a beacon of faith and community. It’s a place where people from all walks of life, united by their shared beliefs, come together to worship, learn, and support each other.
