Founded in 1966 Lively Stone Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago has a rich history. Twelve people including Founding Pastor William Jenkins Sr. gathered. They decided to name their new church Lively Stone. The church moved to its current location at 4938 W Chicago Ave in 1979. Various choirs were established enriching the congregation’s worship. Lively Stone celebrated its 43rd and 50th anniversaries with special messages and events. In 2016 a gala and celebratory Sunday service marked the 50th milestone.
