Stepping onto the sidewalk, you find yourself outside the LightSource Foundation Church. It might not be a grand cathedral with towering spires, but it has a unique history that began with a letter. Patty Lekawa, the current head of the church, found herself deeply moved by a powerful message that urged her to start a foundation dedicated to exploring spirituality. This was back in 2004, and a small congregation was already meeting there within the walls that once housed the Silent Prayer Sanctuary, founded in 1922.

The church, built in 1926, had served generations of Chicagoans. The congregation had dwindled over time, however, and they turned to Patty to take over the church. She accepted the challenge, knowing that a spirit of love and care was needed within those walls. Over the years, the church has been lovingly restored. The building has been remodeled, the roof replaced, and even air conditioning has been installed.

Today, the LightSource Foundation Church welcomes people of all faiths to explore their inner potential and the connection to their own light source. You can feel the warmth and care emanating from the building as you step inside and discover a sanctuary full of spiritual energy.
