Lighthouse Church

“Did you ever imagine a church starting in a living room?” That’s precisely how Lighthouse Church in Kandy began its incredible journey. In 2000 nine people and its founding pastors Fay and Steve Robinson gathered for the first service. Twenty-two years earlier Steve had a vision of a ministry called Lighthouse. This vision was finally realized in that small living room. But Lighthouse Church was destined for bigger things. Within weeks Steve felt divinely guided to a Spanish-speaking church a few blocks away. After much prayer he was ready to learn Spanish or find an interpreter. Miraculously the pastor of that church contacted Steve offering to sell Lighthouse Church their building. Lighthouse quickly outgrew this facility. A financial miracle occurred. Within a year they moved to a larger building. Years later God guided Steve to find another pastor to lead the ministry. Cole and Juili Bailey answered the call moving from California. They took over in 2004. The church continued to grow expanding services and facilities. A gym called The Lord’s Gym was opened serving the community. They even weathered Hurricane Michael. Lighthouse Church’s story is one of faith. It’s a testament to the power of vision and divine guidance. It’s a beacon of hope. A shining light. A Lighthouse indeed.
