Standing in front of Lighthouse Church, it’s easy to feel the weight of its history. This isn’t just a building, it’s a story of faith, perseverance, and a community that refused to be stopped. The story began back in 2000, in the modest living room of Fay and Steve Robinson. With only nine others joining them, they held their first service, launching the Lighthouse legacy. It wasn’t long before they outgrew their humble beginnings. They moved to a small building on Beck Avenue, then to a larger facility on Allison Avenue. But just as they were getting comfortable, a new challenge arose. The church needed a pastor to continue their mission. Pastor Steve had always felt that his role was to lay the foundation, and he knew it was time for someone else to lead. On a visit to California, he reconnected with an old friend, Cole Bailey. A few years later, Cole and his wife, Juili, moved to the area after receiving a call from God to do so. This meeting, seemingly random, was the divine orchestration of a new chapter. In 2004, Steve passed the torch to Cole, and Lighthouse embarked on an unforeseen journey. From there, the church continued to grow, adding services, expanding facilities, and reaching more people. They even opened The Lord’s Gym, providing a bridge to the community. They faced challenges, from Hurricane Michael to the pandemic, but through it all, their commitment to the community never wavered. They served their local area, offering support and comfort during difficult times. Today, Lighthouse Church is a vibrant, thriving congregation, a testament to the power of faith, community, and a relentless spirit. You can see it in the smiles of the members, the joyful music that fills the air, and the lasting impact they’ve had on their community.
