What if a church could be a lighthouse? Right here on Devons Road, the Lighthouse Baptist Church stands as just that. It’s a beacon of faith in London. The Lighthouse Baptist Church isn’t just a building. It’s a community. It’s a place where people from all walks of life gather. They seek connection and spiritual growth. Founded in 2006 by Andy, Sue, and a group of 30 people from Holy Trinity Brompton, the church has grown into a diverse and passionate community. The Lighthouse Baptist Church’s vision is powerful: to be a light to the city of London and to the nations. They strive to live by their mission aims and kingdom values, impacting the city with the Kingdom of God. The church offers a program called “Way of Spirit Life”. It’s designed for personal transformation, equipping individuals for spiritual growth. They also have Light Groups. These groups foster deeper community within the church through regular meetings, shared learning, prayer, and mutual support. The Lighthouse Baptist Church extends its reach beyond its walls through the Lighthouse London Community Trust. This trust partners with organizations like Resurgo, XLP, and Love Your Neighbour to effect practical change within the wider community. They aim to be a beacon of light in Northwest London and beyond, revealing the full gospel of Jesus’ love and power to heal and transform. At the heart of the Lighthouse Baptist Church’s vision is the desire to create a space for encounter with God’s presence. They foster spiritual identity, helping individuals recognize their worth and purpose. They welcome people from all nations and backgrounds. Their goal is simple: to make a positive impact, touching lives with Jesus’ love.
