Feel the warmth of community. That’s the first thing you notice at LifeGate Church of Christ. LifeGate isn’t just a building. It’s a story of two churches. The International Christian Church and Cornerstone Church of Christ united in 2010. They joined forces to become stronger. They created a vibrant community dedicated to serving God.
LifeGate’s mission is clear. They aim to raise disciples of Christ. These disciples passionately pursue God. They boldly proclaim the gospel. Their vision is equally powerful. They strive to be a community of disciple-makers. They want to equip every believer. This means equipping them to share the good news of Jesus. Together they impact the world. They see lives transformed by the Holy Spirit.
LifeGate embraces diversity. They’re a multicultural and multigenerational community. They cherish the richness of their differences. Their services are a testament to this. They hold services on Saturday at 4 pm and Sunday at 10 am in English. There’s also a Mandarin-speaking congregation. This group meets at the same time on Sundays. Children aren’t left out. A dedicated team runs a children’s program. This program caters to preschool through Grade 6. Teenagers also have a space to belong. Youth Alight meets most Friday nights. This is a fun environment where teens explore their faith. They build friendships and navigate their teenage years.
LifeGate’s beliefs are firmly rooted in scripture. They believe the Bible is God’s inspired word. They believe in one God existing in three persons: Father Son and Holy Spirit. Central to their faith is Jesus Christ. They believe in his death resurrection and his coming again. They also stress the importance of baptism and communion. These are symbolic ordinances that follow Jesus’ commands. Salvation comes through faith in Christ’s sacrifice. They believe in the power of the Holy Spirit empowering believers. LifeGate also emphasizes authentic community living. They value small group settings for accountability and growth.
LifeGate Church of Christ isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a living testament to faith community and service. It’s a place where people from diverse backgrounds come together. They share their beliefs and support each other. They actively reach out to the community. They invite everyone to experience the warmth of belonging they offer. LifeGate is more than a church. It’s a home.
