Life Church Peninsula dreams of mirroring the first church in Acts 2. People experienced transformation through Christ’s love and the Holy Spirit. They couldn’t return to their old lives. The church aims to live with passionate commitment. It wants to reach the Redcliffe Peninsula and beyond. This includes those at work, home, or school.
What defines Life Church Peninsula as a Redemptive Community are eight core values. It’s all about Jesus. The church fosters a culture of Beginning, Believing, and Belonging. It is a multi-generational spiritual home. Life Church Peninsula is Spirit-led, not driven. It offers a safe place to find hope. The church depends on the Holy Spirit. John and Susan Houston lead Life Church Peninsula. John was born again in 1974. He grew up in the Baptist Church. He was trained in leadership in the Pentecostal Church ‘Elim’. He moved to Australia in 1996 and studied at Kingsley College. In 2017, John and Susan moved to Woody Point. John became the Pastor of Peninsula Life Church in February 2020. He has a prophetic gift and cares for the lost.
The Houstons dream of leading believers passionate about serving Jesus. They also want to serve one another and the wider community. John and Susan consider it an honor to lead the people of Peninsula Life Church. They encourage everyone to share God’s love and forgiveness.
Wesleyans, including those at Life Church Peninsula, believe in one God. This God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They believe He is the Savior for those who trust Him. Those made new in Christ are called to be holy. They can live this way through the Lord’s Spirit.
Life Church Peninsula believes in the Bible. It is sufficient for faith and conduct. God wants everyone to know Him and be made new in Christ. The Church worships God and reaches a lost world with the gospel.
The Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia formed in Melbourne in 1946. Kingsley Ridgway led the church. Its beginnings were slow. Now, it has spread across the country with about 95 churches. Its people come from diverse backgrounds. They share a love for the Bible and a commitment to Christ. They also show passion for disciple-making and servant leadership.
