Liceo 37 was founded in 1983. It is located at 8 de Octubre 4429. The school lies between Vera and Belén in Barrio La Unión. The Liceo 37 serves the areas of Unión Villa Española Curva de Maroñas and Punta de Rieles.
Liceo 37 Doctor Javier Barrios Amorín functions on three shifts. There is a morning shift afternoon shift and night shift. The morning shift runs Monday to Saturday. The afternoon shift also runs Monday to Saturday. The night shift runs Monday to Friday. Mariana once called Liceo 37. She wanted to enroll in night classes for fourth-year Biology.
Luis Ignacio De Valois Bello a student of Liceo 37 excelled in mathematics. In 2014 he was the only representative of Liceo 37. He competed in the national finals of the Mathematics Olympiad. The Olympiad was held at Liceo Elbio Fernández. Luis Ignacio received a “Mention of Honor”. He continued to be part of the national mathematics team in 2015.
Luis Ignacio also won a gold medal. He represented Liceo 37 in the Inter-high school Mathematics Olympiad. The event was held at the Centro los Pinos. He was also a goalkeeper for Montevideo Wanderers.
The staff also actively uses Liceo 37’s blog. They post photos and updates about daily activities. The goal is to encourage students to participate. Students can share files photos and news.
