The school moved to its new location on the former Johnston High School campus in 2021. This move marked a new chapter for LASA, with a new mascot, the Raptor, and new school colors. Inside the school, there is something for everyone. LASA holds over 150 clubs and student organizations. There are clubs for every interest, from debate and quiz bowl to computer science and robotics. LASA is known for its strong debate team, having won prestigious tournaments throughout the years. The school offers 18 UIL sports, including football, basketball, and swimming. LASA also has a strong computer science program, with numerous clubs and opportunities for students to explore their interests. The school offers a variety of languages, including French, German, Latin, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, and American Sign Language. The curriculum is rigorous, with students taking a minimum of 15 magnet classes to graduate. LASA offers a variety of Advanced Placement courses, preparing students for college.
