Les Gardiens du Noun arrived in Saint-Ouen in 2009. These aren’t your typical statues. They are totems, formed from bronze and brass, reaching skyward. Hervé Di Rosa, known for his vibrant style and love of global cultures, collaborated with Cameroonian blacksmiths from the Noun region to create these unique pieces. The Noun region, named after the river that flows through it, is renowned for its skilled artisans, especially its blacksmiths. Les Gardiens du Noun reflects this rich heritage. Each of the four totems is composed of six metal globes stacked atop one another. Look closely at the globes.
