Leng Aun Koe officially the United Hokkien Cemeteries Paya Terubong Columbarium and Funeral Parlour. It is a significant structure. It houses 40000 niches. That makes it potentially the largest on Penang Island. Imagine the stories held within.

Construction took over two years. The complex occupies a large site. The RM20 million complex includes not only the towering columbarium but also a fully equipped funeral parlour. Six alcoves offer space for traditional rites. Ancestral tablets are housed in an ancestral hall. There’s even a canteen a prayer hall and a large car park for visitors.

The opening in May 2014 was a significant event. The Chief Minister himself attended the ceremony. Niches are priced from RM2500 upwards. The most luxurious niches on the sixth floor offer ‘Sky View Penthouse’ status. Air-conditioned with glittering chandeliers.
