The Centre boasts more than just camping areas. There’s a sprawling seventeen-acre event field. The entire site covers sixty-seven acres. This provides ample space for all sorts of activities. Secluded woodland areas are perfect for smaller groups. Scout and Guide patrols can explore those quiet corners.
Lees Wood offers a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff are dedicated volunteers. They’re always ready to help. Need assistance? A Warden is on-site for weekend visitors. They’re there to receive campers from 7pm on Friday evenings. They are also available throughout the weekend to answer any questions.
The Centre is perfect for Duke of Edinburgh Award work. Other youth and community organisations are welcome too. On-site activities abound. From suction dart crossbows for the youngest adventurers to a challenging three-stage climbing experience for older ones there is something for everyone. A free photo quiz helps visitors familiarise themselves with the site. A two-section nature trail provides a longer more immersive experience. Lees Wood truly offers acres of fun.
