While many associate Lapu-Lapu with youthful vigor, historical accounts suggest he was likely in his 60s or 70s during the battle. He might have even orchestrated the defense from afar. Despite the limited knowledge about his life, Lapu-Lapu became a symbol of Filipino identity, embodying resistance against foreign powers.
