Originally, this place was part of the Schmidt-Brotfabrik Paul Schmidt Leipzig. The bakery was built from 1905 and completed in 1923. The “Schmidt Brot” was delivered to around 1000 sales outlets in Leipzig and the surrounding area using its own motor vehicle and horse-drawn vehicle fleet.
From 2003, it was a advertising and printing agency. In 2006, it became an antique shop. In 2012, the Erotic-Night-Table-Dance-Club Avalon was established in the front building. This was formerly the coach house and warehouse. Since 2018 or 2019, it has been used as a party and event location.
