The Laboratorio INSPI’s creation involved a division of the former Instituto Nacional de Higiene y Medicina Tropical Leopoldo Izquieta Pu00e9rez. It separated into the INSPI and the Agencia Nacional de Regulaciu00f3n, Control y Vigilancia (Arcsa). While INSPI focuses on research, Arcsa handles health regulation and oversight. The Laboratorio INSPI has played a critical role in Ecuador’s public health landscape. It provides essential laboratory services. It contributes to scientific research, focusing on public health challenges. In 2020, the ACESS renewed its operating permit after a thorough virtual inspection. This underscores the laboratory’s commitment to maintaining quality standards, even during challenging times.
