La Unión, also known as La Unión Ferroviaria, owes its very existence to the railway workers’ union. They envisioned a new district, a place they could call their own. Their vision became a reality on June 28, 1912, when La Unión was officially founded. The name, a tribute to the Unión Ferroviaria, echoes the spirit of community and solidarity. Located in the Ezeiza Partido of Buenos Aires Province, La Unión sits along the RN 205. The city boasts more than just its railway heritage. La Unión is also home to the Parroquia Nuestra Señora de Lourdes, a Catholic parish under the Diocese of Lomas de Zamora.
