The Berliner Architekturbüro of Günter Zamp Kelp masterminded the conversion. The architect’s vision included a complete renovation and repurposing. He also added a striking 21-meter-high tower. The Kunsthalle Mainz boasts 840 square meters of exhibition space. This is divided into three large interconnected rooms in the original building. Three more smaller cabinet-like spaces are located within the new tower. The space itself is an integral part of the experience.
