How about stepping into a design laboratory right here in Paris? Galerie Kreo is not just a gallery. It is a space where contemporary design meets a passion for innovation. Founded in 1999 by Clémence and Didier Krzentowski, Galerie Kreo has become a global influencer in the furniture and design world.

Before their design adventure, Clémence orchestrated the Olympic Torch Relay. She even commissioned Philippe Starck to design the Olympic torch for the Albertville Winter Games. Didier worked with the renowned ski apparel company KILLY. Their paths converged and Galerie Kreo was born.

Initially operating as an agency, they collaborated with designers like Ronan Bouroullec and Marc Newson. Soon, they opened their gallery space. Galerie Kreo quickly gained attention. It showcased contemporary design alongside exceptional modern pieces.

Galerie Kreo defines itself as a research lab. Here, the greatest contemporary designers create limited edition pieces exclusively for the gallery. Names like Virgil Abloh, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, and Hella Jongerius have all contributed. Their work can be found in prestigious collections. These include the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris.

In addition to contemporary works, Galerie Kreo presents a curated selection of French and Italian 20th-century lighting. Imagine the glow of vintage pieces from the 1950s to the 1980s. Names like Gino Sarfatti illuminate the gallery’s commitment to design history.

Galerie Kreo has moved a few times over the years. It started on rue Louise Weiss in 1999. Then it moved to rue Duchefdelaville in 2000. Since 2008, it has been located on rue Dauphine. In 2014, a London gallery opened in Mayfair.

Didier Krzentowski is an expert in design and contemporary art. He is a member of the Compagnie Nationale des Experts. Clémence and Didier are both Officers of the French Order of Arts and Letters. They were even listed as two of the 50 most influential French people by Vanity Fair.

Galerie Kreo is more than just a display space. It is a place where design history is made. It is a space where innovation is nurtured. A visit here offers a glimpse into the minds of designers. Their creations shape our world. Take a moment to appreciate the creativity. It is a celebration of form and function. It is what makes Galerie Kreo so special.
