Seventy thousand. That’s about how many Jehovah’s Witnesses were in Ecuador in 2010. They actively shared their beliefs. Today we are standing in front of one of their Kingdom Halls in Quito. It is a place where they gather.

The branch office in Guayaquil supports this work. It oversees more than 1000 congregations in Ecuador. This office also translates Biblical literature. They translate it into languages like Quichua and Shuar. This makes the teachings accessible to more people.
But the work of the Witnesses goes beyond spreading information. They also focus on practical help. They teach life skills and offer aid during disasters. After the 2016 earthquake they quickly responded. Trucks delivered food and water. Disaster relief committees set up centers. Representatives from the branch gave support to affected communities.

Across Ecuador there are numerous Kingdom Halls. A recent count showed 106 halls in the country. Pichincha Province, where we are now, has 31 of these halls. Guayas Province has even more with 34. These numbers highlight the active presence of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Ecuador. They show their commitment to their faith and community.
