Splash The Kinaliada Su Sporlari Kulubu’s legacy began in 1968. It wasn’t just another club. It was a dream. A dream of 26 sports enthusiasts. Their vision a vibrant hub for aquatic activities. Kinaliada Su Sporlari Kulubu (KSSK) became a reality on this very spot.

Nestled on the eastern shore it quickly became the second water sports club in the Princes’ Islands. The first was on Burgazada. KSSK offered swimming water polo and sailing. Its facilities were impressive. An open-air Olympic-sized swimming pool was a marvel. There were also children’s pools a yacht marina and sunbathing areas.

But the KSSK’s story isn’t just about pools and boats. It’s a testament to perseverance. A fierce storm in 1969 destroyed the initial wooden structure. Undeterred the founders rebuilt. They constructed a concrete pool. This pool became legendary. It hosted the Istanbul Turkey Swimming Championships. Turkey records were broken here.

The club hosted the annual Princes’ Islands Swimming Championship. Its water polo team competed in various leagues achieving remarkable success. KSSK wasn’t just a sporting venue.
