Established in 1923 by Caroline and Constance Barrett Kilvington Grammar School stands proudly before you. It began modestly. Five boys and a tutor met in a private home. This humble beginning blossomed into the thriving co-educational institution you see today. Kilvington Grammar School quickly outgrew its initial space. It moved several times before settling near its current location in Ormond.

Kilvington’s history is rich with milestones. In 1929 it officially opened under its new name Kilvington Girls’ Grammar School. The school’s growth was remarkable. Enrolment steadily increased.
