Here in the heart of Taguig, within the bustling Bonifacio Global City, lies a tranquil oasis. Kasalikasan is a 3,556 square meter garden designed by artist Jerusalino V. Araos. He envisioned a “living sculpture,” a harmonious blend of man and nature. The name itself is a clever fusion of “casa,” Spanish for house, and the Filipino word “kalikasan,” meaning nature. The artist intended Kasalikasan to be an ideal natural habitat, a place for human well-being. At its heart lies a mandala, a space for meditation and prayer. This is encircled by a raised circular stage, covered in soft carabao grass. A sandbox and pebbled pathways wind through the garden, inviting exploration and quiet contemplation.
