Lost in the bustling streets of Tondo Manila you stumble upon a beacon of faith. The IRM Ministries Tondo church stands tall. Its address 2004 Juan Luna Street is etched in history. This isn’t just any church. It’s a testament to unwavering faith. It’s a vital part of the IRM Ministries a network spreading across the Philippines.
IRM Ministries Tondo started its journey in a different location. Its roots trace back to March 1992. It began as the IEMELIF Reform Movement. A humble start with about one hundred workers pastors deaconesses and volunteers. From this small group grew 111 congregations and missions. Its growth was phenomenal. In 2010 the movement formally registered as I Am Redeemer And Master Evangelical Church Inc. with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
For twenty years from 1992 to 2012 the IRM’s national office and bible college resided at the Beulah Land Center in Novaliches. In 2012 this moved. The new location was 351 Tandang Sora Avenue Pasong Tamo Quezon City. This relocation was significant. It was a gift. Sis Quintina Salvador donated the land. Consul Eduardo L De Guzman and family constructed the church the bible college and the national office.
The IRM has seen exceptional leadership. Bishop Reynaldo C Domingo guided the ministry for twenty years. Then came Bishop Benito E Eisma. He introduced the G12 Strategy. He also implemented training and mentoring programs. Bishop Nehemias R Martin became the third General Superintendent in 2020. He faced the challenge of leading during the pandemic. His leadership proved crucial in navigating these unprecedented times.
Today IRM Ministries celebrates thirty years. It boasts over four hundred congregations and mission churches. The ministry extends its reach. It now encompasses Luzon Visayas Mindanao and beyond. Over six hundred and sixty-five pastors deaconesses and ministry assistants dedicate their lives to the work. The IRM’s story is a testament to growth resilience and the power of faith.
