The International Baptist Church wasn’t always so grand. Initially known as Holland Road Baptist Church. The church quickly outgrew its first home. It moved to the Singapore American School on King’s Road. This wasn’t a permanent solution. A loan from the Baptist Building Loan Fund made a new building possible.

The International Baptist Church dedicated its first two-story building on July 6 1969. This structure still stands. It now houses offices and Sunday school rooms. The church continued to grow. By 1980 it needed more space. A new sanctuary was built and dedicated in 1986. This impressive building reflects the church’s expansion. It houses a large congregation representing over 50 nations.
