Established in 1852 as the Instituto Industrial de Lisboa the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa ISEL boasts a rich history. We stand before this impressive institution a testament to Portugal’s dedication to engineering and technology.
Initially a vocational school ISEL trained technicians for Portugal’s burgeoning industries. It remained so until 1974. Then a pivotal decree transformed it into a higher education institution.
