Innova Junior College had a house system. It aimed to promote leadership and responsibility. The four houses were Sagittarius Taurus Aquila and Rasalas. Together the first letters formed STAR a key symbol. Students competed in academic sporting and cultural activities. They earned points for their houses.
The college anthem was Ad Astra. This Latin phrase means to the stars. Dick Lee composed the music. Mdm Chitrakala Arumugam wrote the lyrics in 2006. The anthem inspired students to reach for their dreams.
Innova Junior College celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2015. The night festival brought together alumni and students. A highlight was an original musical by performing arts groups.
Though Innova Junior College no longer exists as a separate entity its legacy lives on. It helped to shape countless students. It also contributed significantly to Singapore’s educational landscape. The merger with Yishun Junior College created a new chapter. The combined institution continues to strive for excellence.
