Here at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Washington, the Viking mascot proudly represents a diverse student body of nearly 1,500 students. Inglemoor High School opened its doors in 1965. Since then, it has grown to become a respected institution within the Northshore School District, serving grades 9-12. Inglemoor High School draws students from Kenmore Middle School, Northshore Middle School, and several elementary schools: Arrowhead, Kenmore, Moorlands, and Woodmoor. Inglemoor High School has been recognized nationally for its academic excellence. Newsweek ranked Inglemoor in the top two percent of US high schools. The school boasts high proficiency scores in reading and math, exceeding both district and state averages. Inglemoor High School’s impressive graduation rate also surpasses district and state levels. In 2007, Inglemoor High School was honored as a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School for its consistently high performance in reading and math. The school’s commitment to academics extends to a robust International Baccalaureate program, considered the largest in the Pacific Northwest. Beyond academics, Inglemoor High School offers a wide range of extracurricular activities. The Vikings compete in the KingCo 4A conference, showcasing their athletic prowess in various sports. Notably, the girls’ swim and dive team has achieved four state championships. The women’s crew program has also made a name for itself with appearances at the USRowing Youth National Champions. Inglemoor High School also shines in the arts. The music program, including the nationally recognized Wind Ensemble, has performed at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. The marching band, influenced by the University of Washington’s Husky Marching Band, entertains during football season. Even a new concert hall was built just a few years ago, further demonstrating the school’s dedication to the arts.
