Established in 1993 as the Korean Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth, this church has seen many transformations. Originally located on West Cleburne Road in Fort Worth, the congregation found its current home on Cavender Drive in 1996. They didn’t settle on a name right away. First, it was the Korean Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth, then it became the DFW Presbyterian Church in 1997. Finally, in 2003, the church established a regional church in Austin. They commissioned Rev. Ted Kim to Immanuel Church of Austin. This event seemed to solidify their own identity. They officially adopted the name Immanuel Presbyterian Church of Dallas in 2006. In a surprising twist, the Immanuel Presbyterian Church voted to dedicate its entire property and land to Remnant University in 2023. This decision, finalized with the official deed transfer in July 2023, marks a significant chapter in the church’s history. It demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to education and the future.
