The Igreja Batista Sião quickly integrated into significant Baptist conventions. It became part of the Convenção Batista Brasileira. The Igreja Batista Sião also joined the Convenção Batista Fluminense. It became a member of the Associação Batista Litorânea on December 7 2001.
Pastor Washington Roberto Nascimento has led Igreja Batista Sião since its start. He served as Gods minister. During 2010 and 2011 Pastor Edson Carlos Menezes assisted. He worked alongside Pastor Washington Roberto Nascimento.

He now leads the Primeira Igreja Batista in Praia Linda. Felipe Luiz Silva Paixão also received ordination. He came from the Seminário Teológico Ministerial Batista Litorânea. He leads the Ministério de Evangelismo e Missões. Moises Correa Paiva is another pastor. He graduated from the Seminário Teológico Ministerial Batista Litorânea. He also attended the Faculdade Batista do Rio de Janeiro. He leads the Ministério com jovens e adolescentes and worship.
Rosilane Barreto Nascimento has been a constant presence. She has served as the Minister of Music. She directs the choir and cantatas. Rosilane also leads the worship group. The Igreja Batista Sião choir performs every year. They present cantatas and theatrical performances at Easter and Christmas.

The Igreja Batista Sião also values family. Pastor Carlos Finamor and his wife Edizan led the Ministério da Família. Since 2021 Pastor Neurinam Coelho Marque and his wife Dra Gedália have led it.
The Igreja Batista Sião has a daughter church. It is in the Praia Linda neighborhood. This Primeira Igreja Batista in Praia Linda formed on October 20 2012. It started with about 50 members. There is also a preaching point. It is in a neighboring area at the home of José and Giseli Cantizano. A second daughter church formed. Igreja Batista da Esperança started on December 12 2020. It included 28 members from Igreja Batista Sião and 11 from PIB of São Pedro da Aldeia.
