In 2004, a small group gathered in a Lisbon apartment. This marked the humble beginnings of Igreja Batista Renovada. Led by Pastor Elsa Alecrim, this group would soon blossom into a vibrant community. Igreja Batista Renovada truly took shape in 2006. Bishop Rogério Rocha, only 24 and single at the time, arrived from Brazil to lead the burgeoning church. He answered a call from pastors in Brazil, leaving his ministry in Paraná to take on this new challenge in Lisbon. His wife, Pastor Anabela Rocha, joined him in 2008. Together, they’ve focused their ministry on leadership training and establishing new churches throughout Portugal. Igreja Batista Renovada is known for its dynamic services. They emphasize powerful worship and insightful preaching. The pastors believe in manifesting God’s love through the word, inspiring healing and liberation. Beyond their local congregation, Bishop Rogério and Pastor Anabela Rocha have extended their ministry internationally. They travel and share their message, fulfilling what they believe is Christ’s calling.
