In 1967, Pastors Jabel Delgado and Rosita Bianque embarked on a journey of faith, founding the Iglesia Nuevo Amanecer. They began their ministry with little experience and no congregation. The Iglesia Nuevo Amanecer’s story is one of resilience, faith, and growth. Slowly, people joined their fellowship. Through dedication and sacrifice, the Corporación Evangélica Pentecostal “Nuevo Amanecer” was established. In 1969, a group of brethren organized to form the board and members of the corporation. They obtained legal status with headquarters at Ricardo Cumming 793. The church faced its share of challenges. Yet, the founders remained steadfast in their faith, leading the congregation through thick and thin. Years passed, and the spiritual leaders gained valuable experience. They became examples of perseverance for their spiritual children. They consistently offered gratitude to God for all He had done, was doing, and would do. The dream of having their own place of worship burned brightly. After 37 years, that dream became a reality. The Iglesia Nuevo Amanecer acquired land, approximately 560 square meters. Of that, 420 square meters were dedicated to the church building itself. The construction process was a testament to their resourcefulness. They maximized existing structures, modifying and remodeling them to create a functional and beautiful space. The final design included a 200-square-meter hall for worship. There were spacious restrooms, including one for disabled individuals. A large kitchen and dining areas were also incorporated. A light-filled patio and a second level with two multi-purpose rooms and a pastoral office completed the plan. This sanctuary, dedicated to God, is located in the heart of Montevideo. It stands near the place they rented for over 37 years, first at Cumming 793, then at Garcia Reyes 714. Eleven years have passed since the church took this significant step. They acquired their own property, a dream come true, thanks to God’s guidance. The Iglesia Nuevo Amanecer continues to thrive. It remains a testament to the power of faith, perseverance, and community.
