Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Bethel

In 1927, a dedicated group of German immigrants planted the seeds of faith that would blossom into the Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Bethel. Right here in Villa Ballester, they sought a place to worship and share their beliefs. The Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Bethel has served this community for nearly a century. Initially, the congregation gathered on a property located on Colegio Militar Street, now known as Martín Lange Street. The church thrived in this location, its influence spreading throughout the neighborhood. Eventually, the growing congregation acquired the current property at 440 Independencia Street. The present church building of Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Bethel was inaugurated on September 16, 1952. The Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Bethel remains financially independent. They receive no regular financial support from the government or other institutions. Since its inception, the church has focused on sharing the gospel of Jesus as described in the Bible. The Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Bethel has always provided spiritual guidance for all ages. In 1972, they established Hogar Bethel, a senior home in Los Cardales, demonstrating their commitment to caring for the elderly. For over two decades, from 1988 to 2009, the church also operated a kindergarten and nursery school. This service, highly valued by the community, unfortunately had to close due to financial and legal reasons. The women of the Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Bethel have a long-standing tradition of collecting and preparing clothing for those in need across the country. This ministry has blessed countless families over the decades. Today, the Iglesia Evangelica Bautista Bethel continues its mission. They offer a range of activities for all ages. These activities encompass recreational, cultural, social, and spiritual pursuits, welcoming everyone to participate and experience the warmth and fellowship of this vibrant community.
