On June 9th, 2019, this humble church opened its doors to the community of Barrio Sutiava. It was a momentous occasion, with 75 brothers and sisters gathering to celebrate their newfound spiritual home. You see, before the Iglesia de Dios, they held services every fortnight, huddled in the home of a kind sister. Now, every week, they can come together, their voices rising in unity within these walls. Every Sunday at 10:00 am, the very air vibrates with their faith as they gather for their teachings. Come Thursday at 5:00 pm, the spirit of learning fills the space during their Bible study. And as the sun dips low on Saturdays at 4:00 pm, the Iglesia de Dios becomes a vessel of joyous praise during their lively worship services. So yes, perhaps “home” is the perfect word for this place, a haven for believers in the heart of León.
