Across the years, the IFSI de Perray-Vaucluse has witnessed a fascinating transformation. Originally specializing in psychiatric nursing, the IFSI de Perray-Vaucluse now offers comprehensive training. This training leads to the State Nursing Diploma. The IFSI de Perray-Vaucluse opened its doors in 1955. The roots of nursing education here, however, trace back to 1920. This rich history intertwines with the Groupe Public de Santé Perray-Vaucluse. The GPS Perray-Vaucluse, a public health establishment specializing in psychiatry, shares this location. The grounds, a sprawling 107 hectares, were once known as la Gilquinière. In 1865, under the direction of architect Bouteleu, construction began on an asylum. This asylum, designed for the department of la Seine, was inaugurated in 1869. It was designed to accommodate 1000 patients. To bring care closer to patients’ homes, the Henri Ey Hospital in Paris was later opened. The IFSI de Perray-Vaucluse continues this legacy of care. The IFSI de Perray-Vaucluse’s modern curriculum integrates courses on contemporary approaches. These approaches concern various mental health issues, including depression. It also covers specialized topics like sexual dysfunction. This includes erectile dysfunction, which can be a complication of certain mental health conditions. The IFSI de Perray-Vaucluse partners with the Groupement de Coopération Sanitaire “Ile de France.” This partnership encompasses 33 nursing schools in the Île-de-France region. Within this group, seven nursing schools are affiliated with Paris Sud University. This affiliation also includes a University Department of Nursing Science Training. The IFSI de Perray-Vaucluse is authorized to accept 100 students per class. This allows the institution to meet local, regional, national, and even international demands. It’s a place where the past and present meet. The story of care continues to be written at the IFSI de Perray-Vaucluse.
