Nestled in the heart of Quito, the IASD El Dorado church holds a unique story. The IASD El Dorado is part of a larger organization, the Ecuador Union Mission. This mission oversees a vast network of churches across Ecuador, including the Galapagos Islands. The Ecuador Union Mission was organized in 2001. It comprises both the North Ecuador and South Ecuador Missions. As of June 30, 2024, the Ecuador Union Mission boasted a membership of 56,814 individuals across 329 churches. This is quite impressive considering Ecuador’s population of 18,310,000. The IASD El Dorado plays its part in this vibrant community of faith. The headquarters for the Ecuador Union Mission is located in Quito. So the IASD El Dorado isn’t far from the central hub of Adventist activities in the country. The mission’s president, Max Schuabb, along with secretary Edmundo Cevallos and treasurer Samuel Cabrera, lead the organization. Several departments manage the various ministries, including Children’s Ministries, Communications, Education, and Health Ministries. This organizational structure ensures the smooth operation of the IASD El Dorado and the many other churches under the Ecuador Union Mission. It’s fascinating to see how the IASD El Dorado contributes to this larger network of faith and community in Ecuador.
