Curiosity led me to Hotel Cats. This isn’t your typical Buenos Aires hotel. Hotel Cats caters exclusively to feline guests. Founded by veterinarian Virginia Vallejo, Hotel Cats sprung from humble beginnings. In 2013, Vallejo, then a 17-year-old aspiring veterinarian, began cat-sitting to make ends meet. Her first client was a cat named Pancho, who stayed for just one day. This small venture, initially called Mishmosos, blossomed into a unique concept in pet care.
Fast forward to 2019. Vallejo, now a qualified veterinarian, expanded Mishmosos into Hotel Cats. She envisioned a place dedicated to feline well-being. The name change reflected this specialized focus. Hotel Cats operates with a team of dedicated cat lovers. This includes Daniela and Agustina, who manage the Vicente López and Parque Chas branches, respectively. Melisa, a student of veterinary medicine, oversees the Quilmes location. Ruth Yañez coordinates all branches of Hotel Cats, ensuring consistent quality care.
Hotel Cats boasts three locations in Buenos Aires: Parque Chas, Vicente López, and Quilmes. Each branch is designed to be a cat paradise. They are “completely gatificadas,” meaning they are equipped with features that cater to a cat’s natural instincts and preferences. Hotel Cats welcomes over 200 feline guests annually. Each cat receives personalized attention and care, mimicking the comfort of their own home. The mission of Hotel Cats is simple: to promote the holistic well-being of cats. They strive to create a safe, happy, and healthy environment for their feline guests.
