Contemplating the Holy Trinity Statue Obelisk, can you imagine the relief felt by the people of Buda when the plague subsided? The decision to erect the Holy Trinity Statue Obelisk was made in 1694. The Council of Buda wanted to protect its people. They hoped to prevent future outbreaks of the plague.
