How does Heights Assembly of God wake the world up to Jesus? That is their vision. Heights Assembly of God wants everyone to share the good news. Share it with family. Share it with friends and coworkers. Even share it with strangers.
Heights Assembly of God believes a disciple understands five things. These are known as the 5Gs. They are Grace Gather Grow Give and Go.
First Grace is favor we don’t deserve. We could not earn it. Jesus took our sins. He took our debts. He took our brokenness on the cross. Now through His grace we have full life in Jesus. We can approach God with confidence. Jesus’ death has freed us. It has made us alive with Christ.
Second Gather means we’re better together. You cannot become all you are called to be on your own. We must gather together intentionally. Hebrews says to stir up one another to love. Stir one another to good works. Don’t neglect meeting together. Encourage one another. Do it all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Heights Assembly of God gathers in worship service. They gather in life groups. They gather in discipleship relationships.
Third Grow means healthy things grow. God wants us to grow spiritually. He wants us to be transformed. We grow spiritually through Bible study. We also grow through prayer. Abide in Jesus. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself neither can you unless you abide in Jesus. He is the vine. You are the branches. Whoever abides in Him bears much fruit. Apart from Jesus you can do nothing. Be intentional in spending time in God’s Word. Choose a time. Choose a place. Choose a plan.
Fourth Give means generosity changes you and others. We have all been given Time Talents and Treasures. We are called to use them for God and His Kingdom. The moment we surrender to Jesus the Holy Spirit enters our lives. The Spirit brings spiritual gifts. He equips us supernaturally. God has called us to use those gifts to benefit others. We experience joy making a difference.
Fifth Go means you were created on purpose for a purpose. The church wasn’t created to just be a building. Jesus went out to the people. He went where they were. He modeled missional living. We must do the same. Some people will never step foot into a church. We must go out and model Christ to them.
Heights Assembly of God believes in the Bible. It includes the Old and New Testaments. It is without error in its original forms. The Bible has God for its author. It has salvation for its end. Its content is centered on Jesus Christ. No portion of Scripture can be rightly understood until it leads to Him.
Heights Assembly of God believes in the Trinity. The Triune God has eternally existed in three persons. These are Father Son and Holy Spirit. These three are one God. God is all-knowing and all-powerful. He is present in all places at all times. God is holy loving and just. He is infinite and eternal. Each Person of the Trinity is worthy of the same honor confidence and obedience.
Heights Assembly of God sees the family as foundational. It is made of people related by marriage blood or adoption. Marriage is the union of one man and one woman. It is a covenant commitment for a lifetime. It reveals the union between Christ and His Church. Children are a blessing. Parents teach them spiritual and moral values.
