Stepping onto the sprawling grounds of Heathmont College, you’re immediately struck by a sense of history and community. It’s a place where generations of students have learned, grown, and made lifelong connections. This vibrant coeducational government secondary college has a rich history, dating back to 1993 when two schools, Eastern Secondary College and Heathmont Secondary College, merged to form this thriving educational hub in the Eastern Suburbs. This merger was a turning point for the college as it brought together different strengths and traditions. The early years were a time of adjustment, as the college sought to build a unified identity. However, by 2003, this college had fully consolidated on the Waters Grove site, bringing together all the students from both previous campuses. This marked a new era for the institution as it became a central part of the community, providing education to a diverse range of students from the local area.
