Founded in 1986 Hayrullah Kefoğlu Anadolu Lisesi stands proudly in Bostancı Istanbul. This impressive institution wasn’t built overnight. It was the generous vision of the late Hayrullah Kefoğlu a man dedicated to education. The school opened its doors in 1986-1987 with 410 students 16 teachers 2 administrative staff and 2 support staff.

The school’s strategic location provided easy access to sea land and rail transportation. This practical advantage was quickly recognized. In 1989 an additional floor was added expanding capacity and resources for the growing student body. More classrooms meant more opportunities for learning and growth.
Hayrullah Kefoğlu Anadolu Lisesi continued to evolve. In 1994-1995 it transitioned to a Foreign Language-focused high school program. This significant change reflected a commitment to global education. Preparing students for an interconnected world.
A major milestone came in 2002. The completion of a new sports hall and social activity complex transformed the school. Thanks to the efforts of the School Protection Association. Students now had modern facilities for physical activity and social interaction.
Further progress continued. In 2005-2006 the school became a full-fledged Anadolu Lisesi. Then in 2018 it achieved Project School status. Finally it was designated a Preparatory Project School in 2021. Today Hayrullah Kefoğlu Anadolu Lisesi serves 782 students with 45 teachers 3 administrators 1 administrative staff and 4 support staff.
The school boasts 21 classrooms a music room an art studio science labs and a project room. A modern computer-equipped library was added to the new building.
