Unfortunately, it faced difficult times with poor test results and student behavior. This led to a major transformation. The school was completely overhauled and reborn as The Academy at Peckham. With a fresh start, refurbished buildings, and better resources, the school began to thrive. In 2007, another significant change occurred when it received funding from Lord Harris of Peckham. Reflecting this generous contribution, it was renamed Harris Academy Peckham and adopted a new logo and uniform.
