Founded in 1973 Harmony Baptist Church stands as a testament to faith and community. Pastor Lee Ingram and a few families began meeting in Arlington’s Oddfellows Hall. Their dream a church of their own. Through a $65000 bond program and tireless effort they purchased land. They built a sanctuary. On Easter Sunday 1975 they held their first service. This wasn’t just the dedication of a building. It was the birth of a spiritual home.

The church quickly outgrew its initial space. Leon Sanders became pastor in late 1975. In 1979 an expansion added classrooms and offices. This reflected the growing congregation. It showed the community’s expanding embrace of Harmony Baptist Church’s message. The current sanctuary followed in 1985. This larger space accommodated the ever-increasing number of worshippers.

Under Pastor Frank Liedkie’s nearly 20-year tenure the church flourished. Spiritual growth soared. Resources increased. A remarkable achievement the church paid off its mortgage. Harmony Baptist Church became debt-free. This was a testament to the dedication of its members. It speaks volumes about the strength of their shared faith.

Brian Grey became pastor in 2006. Major renovations further enhanced the church. These improvements were both inside and outside the building. But the true strength of Harmony Baptist Church lies in its people. A tightly knit community of families. They embody Christ-honoring values. They’ve made Harmony a beacon of faith. A place inspiring countless others to follow Christ. This legacy continues to this day. The church remains a vibrant center of faith. It serves as a welcoming space for all seeking spiritual guidance and community. A testament to a community’s enduring devotion.
