Haggerston Park occupies 6 hectares 15 acres today. It stands as one of Hackney’s few formal landscaped gardens. A long arcade walk dating back to the 1950s features mature wisteria. It offers a beautiful floral display.
Haggerston Park isn’t just about open space. It has amenities for many interests. There are football pitches for sports enthusiasts. There is also a BMX track for cyclists. A children’s playground provides fun for families. A community garden offers green space for locals. Table tennis tables provide a place for recreation.

Do you know who Michael Jackson is? On July 29, 1992, he landed in Haggerston Park by helicopter. Mickey and Minnie Mouse accompanied him. He visited children at the nearby Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children. This special visit brought joy to many.
